The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The emblem of the NCC consists of 3 colors; red, dark blue, and light blue these colors represent the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force respectively. The 17 lotuses indicate the 17 directories of India.

Unity & Discipline
National Cadet Corps was introduced in the year 1970 in Deshbandhu College and since then has brought glory to college’s name. NCC is one of the most active student group and constantly works towards making high achievements in the name of our college. Many of our cadets have been commissioned in the Indian Armed Forces and many other dignified government jobs. Over the years Deshbandhu college's team for squad drill and quarter guard have earned their place as one of the best teams of Delhi. ‘Desh’- our Annual NCC fest, is popular in the Delhi NCC circuit and has large participation of cadets from across Delhi. As of today the College has one Senior Division (SD) and one Senior Wing (SW) N.C.C., Army Wing with strength of 151 and 160 cadets respectively. Deshbandhu College's Senior Division comes under 4 Delhi Battalion, Okhla, Commanded by Commanding Officer Col. Balwant Singh Charak and the Senior Wing comes under 4 Delhi Girls Battalion, Safdarjung Enclave, commanded by Commanding Officer Col. K S Bisht. Our cadets not only indulge in activities promoting defence forces, valor, courage, and DESHBANDHU NCC physical fitness but also actively promote social causes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, ‘Mission Indradhanush', 'Pollution Awareness Campaign' and so on. A cleanliness drive was also carried out by the cadets to promote keeping the college campus clean. They have also generously given their contribution to blood donation campaigns. NCC has also played an integral role in the times of elections and fest by managing the crowd and maintaining discipline in college premises. Our Quarter Guard team has been performing Guard of Honor on various occasions like Independence Day, Republic Day, and any other event wherein dignitaries are invited. The cadets of Deshbandhu NCC have held the honor of college's name high by participating in various prestigious camps like Youth Exchange Program, Republic Day Camp while being a part of the Rajpath contingent, All India Thal Sainik Camp, and so on.
